SNARE THUMPER
This design is something I've been working on for the past couple of years. It doesn't only sound good on snares but that is without a doubt its most revolutionary use in a modern mix workflow. It doesn't hear cymbals but still conducts a shocking amount of dynamic range and useful high end information due to the transduction materials and cabinetry acoustics involved. In fact, the first prototype was created solely for the purpose of keying noise gates on top snare mics, but it became immediately evident that I'd stumbled upon something even more sonically advantageous than originally intended. This led to further improvements in the design and significant upgrades in the quality of components which I'm now personally impressed with enough to share with my friends here.
